Frequently Asked Question (FAQ)
What conditions do you treat at Solace Pelvic Health?
We provide care for pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, postpartum recovery, diastasis recti, constipation, and vaginismus. Our approach is always natural — no surgery, no medical, no injection.
Is pelvic floor therapy only for women?
No
While we specialize in women’s health, pelvic floor therapy and pelvic floor rehab can also benefit men with issues such as pelvic pain, incontinence, or recovery after surgery.

How long will the first session take?
Your first appointment usually lasts about one hour, including consultation, assessment, and discussion of your treatment plan. If needed, we may also introduce basic pelvic exercises to start improving posture and muscle balance.
Do you use a Kegel chair for treatment?
No, we do not rely on Kegel chairs. While Kegel chairs may provide temporary muscle stimulation, they do not replace personalized pelvic floor rehab. At Solace Pelvic Health, we combine one-on-one pelvic floor therapy, guided Kegel exercises, posture correction, and tailored physiotherapy programs. Our approach is holistic and effective — no surgery, no medical, no injection — and ensures long-term results rather than short-term stimulation.
What are your operating hours?
We are open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00am to 7:00pm. Appointments are available until 9:00pm upon request.
Is pelvic floor therapy painful?
Treatment should not be painful. Our experienced therapists use gentle, evidence-based techniques like guided Kegel training and pelvic floor rehab. Sessions are always safe, supportive, and tailored to your comfort level.
Do I need a referral to see a pelvic health therapist?
In most cases, no referral is required. However, some insurance providers may ask for one. You can directly book your appointment for pelvic floor therapy or prenatal physiotherapy with us.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Many insurance providers cover pelvic floor therapy or physiotherapy under rehabilitation benefits. Please confirm with your provider to ensure your pelvic floor rehab sessions are included.
Will there be an internal examination?
In many cases, yes — an internal exam provides valuable insight into your pelvic floor muscle strength, tone, and function. This helps us design the right pelvic floor rehab program for you. The exam is always done with your consent and comfort as a priority.
Do you offer postpartum care?
Yes. We help new mothers recover from childbirth with safe pelvic floor rehab, posture correction, and guidance on Kegel exercises. Most clients can begin treatment as early as 6–7 weeks postpartum with medical clearance.
What can I expect during my first visit?
We’ll review your health history, discuss your symptoms, and complete a gentle physical assessment. Depending on your needs, we may introduce Kegel techniques, or start your personalized pelvic floor therapy plan.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your specific condition and goals. Mild symptoms often show significant improvement within 3–5 visits, while more complex conditions may require a longer course of pelvic floor therapy or ongoing rehab. After your first assessment, we’ll recommend a personalized plan that suits your needs.
Can my partner or husband join the session?
Yes, if you feel comfortable, bringing your partner is encouraged — it can help them better understand your concerns and support your pelvic floor rehab journey.
Can I attend a session if I am on my period?
It’s usually more comfortable to schedule sessions outside of your period. However, if you prefer to come during your period, let us know — we’ll adjust your pelvic floor therapy session to what feels best for you.
What kind of treatments do you use for incontinence or prolapse?
We use evidence-based physiotherapy, including pelvic floor rehab, targeted Kegel training, biofeedback, and gentle stimulation therapies. Our treatments are safe and natural — no surgery, no medical, no injection.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best. Pelvic floor therapy exercise may involve gentle movement, so flexible clothing is recommended.
Will my therapist be female?
Yes. All sessions are conducted by our certified female pelvic health therapists for your comfort and peace of mind.
Do you offer virtual or online consultations?
Yes, we provide secure telehealth sessions for certain concerns, education, and follow-up support — especially useful for prenatal physiotherapy or continued pelvic floor rehab from home.
